APSC CCE Recruitment Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
> The candidate must hold a Degree from any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess such qualification as may be declared equivalent by the Government.
> Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification on the date of submission of their applications.
Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
Regional Language Proficiency: A candidate should be able to speak Assamese or other official language or associate official languages of the State or any of the tribal languages of the State.
Residentship: A candidate must be an original inhabitant of Assam.
Employment Exchange Registration: A candidate should be registered in a District Employment Office of Assam.
Small Family Norms: Candidates have to submit a declaration regarding “The Small Family Norms” in Form-A at the time of applying for the C.C. (Prelim) Examination.
APSC CCE Exam Age Limit
Age Limit: The candidate should not be less than 21 years and more than 38 years of age on 01.01.2022.
Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.
> SC/ST: 5 years
> OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
> PwBD: 10 years
APSC CCE Examination Fee
Candidates must pay an examination fee to finish the application procedure if they are qualified and ready to submit online applications for the APSC CCE Exam preparatory examination. The appropriate examination costs, broken down by category, are as follows.

Payment Method: Candidates can use their debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI to pay their exam fees through an online payment gateway.
> Under the Digital India initiative by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, APSC has decided to launch its Online Recruitment portal with the help of CSC-SPV, a MeitY-approved organization, which will charge a processing fee of Rs. 40.00/- + 18% tax = Rs.35.40/- from each candidate.

APSC CCE Recruitment Selection Process
The Combined Competitive Examination consists of the following two successive stages:-
(i) The Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
(ii) The Main Examination (written & interview)
1. Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
Two objective-type multiple-choice tests with a two-hour time limit each will make up the preliminary examination.

Type of Questions: Objective Questions
Total Papers: 2 Papers
Full Marks: 400 Marks
Duration of Exam: 2 Hours for Each Paper
Negative Marking: One-fourth of the total mark assigned to one question will be deducted for a wrong answer marked by a candidate
Syllabus: The candidates may refer to the Assam Public Service Combined Competitive Examination (Amendment) Rules, 2019 for the syllabus of General Studies I and General Studies II.
Exam Centres: Barpeta, Bongaigaon, Biswanath Chariali, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Dibrugarh, Diphu, Goalpara, Golaghat, Guwahati, Haflong, Hamren, Hatsingimari, Hojai, Jorhat, Kajalgaon, Karimganj, Kokrajhar, Majuli, Mangaldoi, Morigaon, Mushalpur, Nagaon, Nalbari, North Lakhimpur, Silchar, Sivasagar, Sonari, Tezpur, Tinsukia and Udalguri.
2. Main Examination (written & interview)
The Main Examination consists of (A) Written Examination and (B) Interview Test.
(A) Written Examination
The number of applicants admitted to the written portion of the Main Examination will be 11 to 12 times the number of vacancies announced for each category, based on the outcome of the Preliminary Examination. The selection process will carefully follow the requirements of Vertical and Horizontal Reservation as set forth by the applicable law.
