Selection Process of Gauhati High Court LDA & Copyist Recruitment:–
There will be two common examinations for both LDA and Copyist. There will be two phases to the examinations. Below are the details for both the written test and oral examination.
Stage 1:
Gauhati High Court will conduct the OMR-based written test for both LDA and Copyist posts at this stage. Candidates must qualify for this test in order to participate in Phase 2. The details of Step 1 are as follows.

Note: The official language exam will be 20 marks in nature, with a passing grade of 40% of the 20 marks, which is 8 marks. In preparing the merit list of the written test as well as the final selection list, marks obtained in the Official Language segment will not be counted.
Stage 2:
In this stage, Gauhati High Court will shortlist the candidates on the basis of their performance in Stage 1 and will call them for the Stage 2 Viva-Voce Test. Phase 2 Viva-Voce exam will carry 15 marks and a merit list will be prepared after both Phase 1 and Phase 2 exams. On the basis of the grand total marks obtained by the candles in the Written Test and viva-voce, the final selection will be made district-wise.
Note: In case of candidates obtaining the same grand total marks, the candidate who obtains more mark in the written Test will be given preference. where marks obtained by such candidates in the written test are also the same, then the candidate who is senior in age will be given preference. The High cut-off reserves the right to fix cut-off mark, if any, for the written test. There shall be no negative marking.
