OBC Scholarship Assam 2022: The OBC Scholarship is one of the most efficient academic awards provided by the Indian government. The government is inviting qualified students from Other Backward Classes to apply for this scholarship program (OBC). Another name for this OBC scholarship is the Other Backward Classes (OBC) Scholarship Scheme. Applications for this program are accepted through India’s official scholarship website. This scholarship is divided into two pre-matric and post-matric categories. Students in class 10 or lower are eligible for pre-matric scholarship awards. OBC Scholarship Assam Eligibility Criteria:–

There are two different groups eligible to apply for this OBC Scholarship Scheme. Pre-Matric and Post-Matric are these two groups. The eligibility requirements for the two categories differ. Details of the eligibility requirements for each category are provided below.

Pre-Matric Scholarship: This group of students includes those who are in class 10 or lower. Students must submit their applications under the Pre-Matric Scholarship category if they are in grades 1 through 10.

Post-Matric Scholarship: Students must apply under the Post-Matric Scholarship category if they are in grades 11 or higher. In other words, applicants must fall under this group if they are Higher Secondary, Graduation, Post-Graduation, etc. students.

Note: The only students who qualify for this scholarship program have an OBC certificate. The application would be denied in the absence of a valid caste certificate.

Document Requirement for Application:–

Students must prepare the following documents before starting the OBC scholarship application process. The availability of the following documents is required in order to complete the application procedure, thus all students should make sure they have them.

> Cast Certificate (OBC)
> Income Certificate
> Aadhaar Card/ Bonafide Certificate 

Note: A bonafide certificate must be presented by students who do not have an Aadhar card. Following your NSP registration for the scholarship, a genuine certificate will be generated instantly. Students must download that automatically generated format and have their institution’s heads of institutions sign it. Before the certificate format is signed by the institution’s head, you might need to provide a passport-size photograph.

The eligibility requirements outlined in Paragraph III of the official notification for this Scheme shall be applied to all eligible candidates from Other Backward Classes who will be awarded scholarships. Candidates who reside in one state but attend school in a different one will be given scholarships by the state to which they belong and will submit their applications to the appropriate authorities there. They will be regarded as students in their own state for the purposes of fee waivers and other benefits as well.
